Due to Microsoft product policy, the support periods for all versions of Dynamics AX are coming to an end, therefore now is the perfect time to sign up to this program as an EQM customer to assess your migration to Dynamics 365, a suite of cloud-based business applications that will help you optimise your company's financial performance and operations.
When does technical support for Dynamics AX end?
At the end of the support periods, Microsoft will no longer upgrade the product or the security updates. What's more, non-security related patches for the software will no longer be provided, while warranty claims will also end. The expiry dates are:
Dynamics AX 2009 Service Pack 1 (SP1), Dynamics AX 2012, and Dynamics AX 2012 R2
- Standard support: (expired)
- Extended support: 12 October 2021
Dynamics AX 2012 R3
- Standard support: 12 Oct 2021
- Extended support: 1 October 2023
For the Dynamics AX 2012 R3 version, Microsoft will continue to develop security and generic patches, as well as regulatory updates, while the extended support period remains in effect until 1st October 2023.
